Start your long weekend festivities at Vaughan Ribfest, which returns to Assembly Park bigger than ever. This four-day celebration features slow-smoked ribs, tender brisket, and high-energy live entertainment that captures the true essence of summer BBQ culture. It is a family-friendly environment complete with midway rides and carnival games, ensuring everyone from kids to serious foodies leaves satisfied.

For a coastal culinary experience, head down to Sugar Beach for the Festival of Flavours Toronto. This new waterfront food festival brings together over 50 vendors serving up fan favorites like Simply Filipino and Mediterranean street food. Between bites, you can enjoy free salsa dancing, games, and face painting, all while taking in the beautiful lakefront views.

On Saturday night, celebrate Asian Heritage Month at the BACKYARD: Asian Night Market at STACKT market. This lively event features over 50 Asian-owned vendors curated for a unique evening of artistry, culture, and authentic street food. With live DJ sets and cultural performances, including new showcases, it is the perfect spot to experience the creative energy of the city.

The holiday weekend reaches its spectacular peak on Monday night with the Ashbridges Bay Park Victoria Day Fireworks. This city-organized show features a dazzling display of over 2,000 individual pyrotechnics that light up the sky for approximately 14 minutes. It is a cherished local tradition that brings the community together along the boardwalk to toast to the arrival of the warmer months.
