Things to Do in Toronto This Weekend: October 30 to November 1, 2026
Shop Local at Queen St Marketplace (Kew Gardens, the Beaches)
Queen St Marketplace is a handmade outdoor market at Kew Gardens, 2075 Queen St E, in the Beaches. Past markets there have been free, pet friendly, and open from about 11 am to 5 pm, with independent makers selling their work.
Small Changes, Big Impact at Wychwood Barns
VegTO is hosting Small Changes, Big Impact at Artscape Wychwood Barns, 601 Christie St, on Sunday, November 1 from 12 pm to 6 pm. VegTO describes it as a mix of market, festival and science fair about plant-based living and its effects on health, the environment, farmed animals and food security. Tickets are $5 and available online. If you’re curious about greener habits, or you just like a good food market, it’s an easy afternoon.

Timewarp Market at The Parkdale Hall
Toronto Sunday Market’s Timewarp Market: Fall Back Edition fills The Parkdale Hall, 1605 Queen St W, with vintage sellers and retro-inspired makers. It runs Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm, and entry is free. The hall is a 4,500 sq ft Art Deco space in Parkdale, and the event is billed as a way to spend your extra hour. Paid parking is nearby, and the hall is wheelchair accessible and reachable by public transit.
Glow in the Wild at the Toronto Zoo
Glow in the Wild is a nighttime trail of more than 2,000 handcrafted lantern displays inspired by animals, nature and cultural stories. It runs Thursday to Sunday until January 3, 2027, and is closed December 24 and 25. Entry is by timed ticket, so book ahead. Current evening start times are between 6:00 and 7:45 pm.
- Adults (13–64): $38
- Seniors (65+): $33
- Children (3–12): $27
- Children 2 and under: free
- Parking: $20
Taxes are extra on tickets. The zoo is at 2000 Meadowvale Rd.
A Quick Way to Plan Your Day
- Market morning, then lantern night: Parkdale Hall at 11 am, then the Zoo for an early evening time slot.
- Slow Sunday: Kew Gardens in the afternoon, since an outdoor market is best on a dry day.
- Check before you go: Hours and ticket details can change, so confirm on each organizer’s page.
Exploring Toronto’s Neighbourhoods
Weekend outings like these are a good way to see how different parts of Toronto and surrounding areas feel. The Beaches, Parkdale and the Wychwood Barns area each have their own streets, shops and rhythm. If you’re thinking about moving here, spending a Sunday in a neighbourhood tells you things a listing can’t. I’m here for you if you’d like help narrowing down where to look.
