Here are some of the festivities that promise to immerse attendees in the magic of the season, offering a variety of experiences that cater to different interests.  

National Ballet of Canada: The Nutcracker

Witness the magic unfold at the Four Seasons Centre, where the National Ballet of Canada brings to life James Kudelka's mesmerizing staging of Marius Petipa's timeless classic. From a Christmas Eve party in 19th-century Russia to the icy realm of the Snow Queen, experience a Nutcracker like never before. With non-stop dancing, magnificent sets, and costumes that transport you to a golden palace, this rendition is an unforgettable tribute to the imagination.  The performances are scheduled for December 8 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, December 9 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and December 10 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

Toronto Gingerbread Festival

This winter, Yonge + St. Clair transforms into a gingerbread haven, offering 12 days of festive delights across three event sites. Immerse yourself in gingerbread-inspired activities for all ages, creating memories that sweeten the holiday season. More than just a festival, this year's event, in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity, aims to build homes and spread joy throughout the city. Join the community in a celebration that goes beyond gingerbread houses—a heartwarming experience for a great cause.  The festival will take place at 2 St. Clair West, Toronto from December 7 to 18, 2023, open daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Jurassic Quest

Roar into Mississauga with Jurassic Quest, the world's largest Dino event. Walk among life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, play with adorable baby dinos, and witness the majesty of the Spinosaurus and T-Rex. With unique and exciting experiences for the whole family, Jurassic Quest promises pter-iffic memories and a prehistoric adventure. This interactive experience will be held at The International Centre, located at 6900 Airport Road, Mississauga. The event runs from December 8 to 10, with varying hours each day. Winter Solstice Series: Solar and Lunar Wonders

Immerse yourself in an enchanting evening under the stars at Tommy Thompson Park. Join a captivating presentation on the winter solstice, exploring the science and significance of this celestial event. Delve into the upcoming solar eclipse, set to grace the skies on April 8, 2024, with interactive demonstrations and engaging discussions. With the tranquil backdrop of Tommy Thompson Park, experience the magic of the winter solstice and prepare for the cosmic spectacle ahead. Tickets are $20 per person, and pre-registration is required. This event will take place on December 9 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

2023 Riverdale Share Holiday Concert

Celebrate the holidays with the melodious tunes of Julian Taylor, Kathryn Rose, Julie Michaels, Danny Marks, and Micah Barns at The Danforth Music Hall. Immerse yourself in a beautiful family event with appearances by Santa and his elves. Tickets are available for $25 at Ticketmaster, The Carrot, and Treasure Island Toys. Join in the festive cheer, and know that your attendance supports charitable organizations such as the Ralph Thornton Community Centre Mentor Program, Blake Boultlbee Youth Outreach Service, and more. The concert will be held at The Danforth Music Hall, located at 147 Danforth Ave, Toronto, on December 10 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
